The American Academy of Dermatology has issued new guidelines of care for the management of basal cell carcinoma and cutaneous squamous cell carcinoma.
Published online in the Journal of the American Academy of Dermatology on Jan. 10, the evidence-based guidelines cover best practices for the management of nonmelanoma skin cancer, including recommendations on biopsy and pathology, treatment, metastatic disease, and patient follow-up.
These guidelines are intended to serve as a resource for all physicians, so we encourage you to let your members know this resource is available to them. If you have any questions or need any additional information, please don’t hesitate to contact me at (847) 240-1714 or ajacobs@aad.org.
