Due to the great success of the American Head and Neck Society’s Prevention and Early Detection Committee’s Community Service grant in previous years and the high number of excellent submissions, the Committee has received AHNS Board approval to offer two (2) Community Service grants in support of a project related to Oral, Head and Neck Cancer Awareness Week (OHANCAW) activities in a community setting. Each grant, in the amount of $1,000.00 will be given to an individual, department, organization, or institution in support of a patient or community-oriented project during OHANCAW-2013. We are not only looking for projects from the United States, but are also accepting applications from worldwide.
An application letter should include a detailed description of the project, the targeted population, the methods, expected outcome, expected impact on community health and/or on our knowledge and understanding of head and neck cancer prevention and early detection, estimated/actual cost, and other available funding.
The closing date for receipt of applications is April 30, 2013. At the completion of your project, a report is required of how the funding was spent as well as the evaluation and results of the project.
Please submit your application, limited to one or two printed pages, to: Aaron Goodman at aaron@ahns.info
